Well, it's a new year. And with the new year come new obsessions. My first being Ratatat. Yes I know they're old news, but hey, it's never too late to find good music. (Click here.)

That being said, I only have a few resolutions to deal with: to exercise thrice a week, and to do better in school. I brought home all A's last semester, but I really wasn't trying my hardest, so I'm gonna bring home BETTER A's.

I swear I'll have a better post next time, but until then, try to content yourself with this photo of yours truly.

I've officially decided that I am going to become an actress. I have a bucket list of people in the business I want to meet, and it's the perfect motivation to push me out of my shell.
It's not a big list, but it's a list nevertheless:
Russell Brand, Taissa Farmiga, Emma Stone, James Franco, Evan Peters, Emma Watson.

Now all I need to do is get discovered because it's a piece of cake, right?
Wrong. I have no idea what to do now. But the fact that my mom has absolutely zero faith in me makes me want it that much more.

On another note, I've been extremely sick all day and I don't know what with. I've been shaky and my body has just not wanted to cooperate with moving around so I've spent much of my time on the couch.
Maybe I'll be better by tomorrow and will actually be able to type out a quality post.

Yesterday my boyfriend came over and we had a pretty terrific day. We watched The Heathers (his first time, and I was proud to be a part of it) and made some chamomile tea which made us both drowsy for the remainder of the afternoon. At around 6 we went to a piercing shop and I got my nose and ears pierced. I've had my ears pierced twice before and both times they've gotten infected. Here's hoping to a relatively fast healing process.

Later today I'm going to my friend Michelle's house. She just moved about an hour away and we're having an all night housewarming, just for old time's sake. Also, I'm going to pick up a few more crafting supplies from Hobby Lobby and I'll show you guys what I've been working on.

Hi guys - although I'm not entirely sure who I'm saying hello to. I've been thinking about creating a blog for a while, but have been hesitant because I wasn't sure I would be able to keep up with it. But alas, I have decided that it's worth a try. I figure I'll start out with an introductory post, and go from there.

My name is Emily Darlene, but I am more commonly referred to by my initials, or, Edie. I was born on December 25, 1994. If you're quick with math, you'll already be aware of the fact that I'll be turning 17 in exactly one week. I am a junior in high school. I love winter/fall, tea, and writing. I love writing. Up until this year, my dream was to be a screenwriter for tv/plays/movies. I have since realized how difficult it would be to actually be successful, so I've diverted that dream into a more feasible one.

I'm allergic to cinnamon, I don't have many friends, and nothing eventful ever really happens in my life. But when it does, I'll be sure to write about it here, for the world to see. I'll also be entertaining you (whoever you is) with some thoughts and here-and-there writing I do.
